A 16-year-old suspect has been arrested on charges of making a terrorist threat, a bomb threat, and disorderly conduct in West Bend.
Students at West Bend High School reported a suspicious posting on Snapchat Tuesday. It said “Don’t come to school tomorrow” and included a bomb emoji.
The suspect hasn’t been identified.
Police say they notified the school about their investigation Tuesday night, and the building was checked out and no devices were found.
The teenager denied placing a device at the school – or, having any intention of placing one there.
He is being referred to Washington County juvenile authorities.
There was a heightened police presence at the schools Wednesday.
