A problem many people are facing as they return to college is what are they going to do about their children. With may day cares and schools closed, parents who normally send their children to those establishments now have to find other ways to go to school without leaving their small children at home alone.
Lakeshore Technical College has stepped up and expanded their childcare center on campus to help accommodate their students. School officials estimated that 10% of their 2,800 students have elementary aged children.
This expansion now allows the childcare center to care for children up to age 12, lifting the weight of concern off mothers and fathers who are trying to advance their education.
