
A Green Bay flight nurse has been honored by the Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) hospitals in Eastern Wisconsin as their 2019 Nurse of the Year.
Rory Groessl, who works at HSHS St. Vincent, is a flight nurse and provides care to critically injured or ill patients as they are transported to the emergency room. Additionally, he assists with patient care in the adult intensive care unit and pediatric intensive care unit.
Ken Nelson, Chief Nursing Officer, HSHS St. Vincent Hospital and HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center said of Groessl, “We are blessed to have him as part of our team and thrilled to recognize his dedication to our patients and ministries.”
The 2009 graduate of UW-Oshkosh holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and multiple certifications as a critical care and flight nurse.
