
The chairman of the Manitowoc City Council Finance Committee says they’re seeking applicants for a 5-year term on the Manitowoc Public Utilities Commission.
Alderman Jim Brey says the MPU Commission manages and operates the electric, water and communications utilities for the city.
The term starts this October 1st and runs until September 30th, 2025.
Those interested must be a resident of the city in order to serve on the MPU Commission, and, commissioners are elected by a majority vote of the Common Council.
Brey said people who are interested in serving should submit a letter of interest and short resume’ to the Manitowoc City Clerk’s Office at 900- Quay Street.
Applications will be accepted until 4:30 PM Friday, October 2nd.
The Finance Committee will meet October 6th to make a recommendation to the full City Council for action at its’ October 19th meeting.
