The Detroit Tigers will be very aware of the threat offered by Milwaukee slugger Christian Yelich when the two teams meet tonight (Tuesday).
Adrian Houser will be the Brewers’ starting pitcher at Comerica Park.
Over the last two seasons, Yelich has been as effective as any hitter in Major League Baseball. So far this season he is hitting .201, but still has the power stroke with nine home runs.
The difference may be the last of productive batters around him in the Milwaukee lineup. Last year, Mike Moustakas, Yasmani Grandal and Eric Thames combined for 88 homers.
This year, all are gone.
That’s the challenge for the last 21 games of the season – doing the same damage without the same help.
First pitch this evening is scheduled for 5:35 on 107.9 FM WOMT, and at WOMTRadio.com.
