University of Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez can’t promise there will be Big Ten Conference football sometime in the next few months, and even if he could, he might not know what that would look like.
Alvarez is chairman of the return to competition task force for the conference, and he says that task force is working with doctors to gather information and, hopefully, reschedule the football season at some point.
There are a number of plans to make that happen.
Wisconsin is staring at a loss of more than $100 million this year if it doesn’t happen.
