Nearly 170 Manitowoc area customers of Wisconsin Public Service had their power interrupted for a time yesterday afternoon.
W-P-S spokesman, Brendan Conway, tells SeehaferNews.com that strong winds caused a large tree or limb to fall onto an electrical line, south of the Manitowoc city limits, just after 2pm.
Conway informed us that 168 customers were affected and a Wisconsin Public Service work crew had power restored an hour later (by 3pm).
The WPS spokesperson said high winds caused other outages in the northeast region.
