A high-speed chase, reaching speeds of nearly 100 mph, tore through Sheboygan County into Manitowoc County Wednesday night.
The chase actually originated in Ozaukee County, just south of Sheboygan County and crossed County lines at around 2:00 AM.
Ozaukee County officials reported that the vehicle was traveling northbound on I-43 at speeds of 99 MPH and refused to stop.
Coordination between Sheboygan and Manitowoc County Deputies led to spike strips being laid on the roadway as the diver crossed into Manitowoc County.
The strips were effective, as they blew out the vehicle’s tires, and the vehicle came to a stop.
The driver, an unnamed man from Illinois, was arrested on charges of eluding and operating without a license.
