A Manitowoc woman was taken into police custody yesterday after she was found to have drugs hidden inside of her body.
An officer in the Manitowoc Police Department was on patrol in the 1500 block of Marshal Street just after 5:00 PM yesterday, when he noticed a 23-year-old woman driving in the area.
He recognized her from previous contacts and verified that her driver’s license was suspended.
The woman was taken into police custody on a charge of Operating a Vehicle While Suspended, and a search revealed that she had contraband in her underwear and in a body cavity
The search revealed that she had .3 grams of a crystal-like substance, and .3 grams of a black tar like substance, later confirmed to be Methamphetamine, and Fentanyl, as well as an unidentified pill and a metal smoking device.
The woman has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, and Drug Paraphernalia.
