The Kiel Raiders hosted an 18-team cross country invitational yesterday. The host Raiders take the Girls division, followed by Oostburg and Two Rivers, while Valders winds up 6th.
The individual champion was Anna Gallagher of the Two Rivers Raiders who covered the 4,000-meter course (about 2.5 miles) in 15:04. Kiel’s Jocelyn Aprill was 6th and Avery Kauth led the Vikings with a 17th place finish.
In the Boys race, Valders was the team champion at 37, 7-points better than Kiel. The meet medalist was the Vikings’ Shane Griepentrog in 16:24 over 5,000 meters followed by fellow Viking, Clay Taylor.
Kiel’s Ethan Vandemeer was 3rd. As a team, Roncalli finished 4th with Brayden Yanda, providing the Jets best finish at #6.
