A Manitowoc man was taken into police custody after he refused to leave a residence where he did not live, and threatened law enforcement officials.
Officers were dispatched to the Trails End Trailer Court at 2000 Johnston Drive at around 6:15 Wednesday evening on a report of a man threatening the residents of one of the trailers.
The two victims, one male and one female, were standing outside their unit when officers arrived, and said the man had been sitting in a rocking chair inside all day, threatening them, and that they wanted him to leave.
When officers entered the trailer, the man told them “You guys made a big mistake…you brought three of you when you should have brought 10 if you are going to drag me out of this chair.”
The 56-year-old man, who had previously fought and injured police officers, eventually stood up, and told one of the officers, “I swear on my mother’s grave, I’ll drop you.”
He was taken into police custody without incident and is facing charges of Disorderly Conduct and Threatening a Law Enforcement Officer.
