Eric Sogard broke a 5-5 tie with a sacrifice fly and Jace Peterson provided some insurance with a two-run homer as Milwaukee split its short series with Detroit 8-5.
The Brewers were held to six hits but received 10 walks.
Keston Hiura and Peterson had homers.
Although Adrian Houser scuffled in the first five innings, the Milwaukee bullpen followed with four hitless innings of relief.
Eric Yardley picked up his second win and Josh Hader nailed his ninth save. Hader still hasn’t allowed a hit through 12 appearances.
The loss stopped a six-game winning streak for the Tigers.
The Brewers are off tonight (Thursday), then play at Cleveland against the Indians Friday.
