A former Valders resident has apparently become the second Manitowoc County resident whose death has been linked to the coronavirus pandemic.
84-year old Edward Streckert died August 26th, and the coroner’s office reports he was under hospice care at Aurora Medical Center at the time. Several other contributing factors included Type 2 diabetes and heart disease. Streckert spent most of his life as a Valders resident, and funeral arrangements are being handled by the Christensen & Deja funeral home.
The previous county death linked to the virus was 76-year old Ernest Boettcher of Mishicot, who reportedly also had numerous other health conditions.
