The Sturgeon Bay Police Department has identified a suspect thought to be connected to the vandalism to the Door County Republican Party Headquarters over the weekend.
While his name has not been released, he was identified as a 19-year-old man, whom police said spray painted the building and several Republican signs.
According to a post on Facebook, “Officers followed up with a witness who saw a tan colored or lighter colored SUV near the headquarters building and also developed key pieces of information as the investigation unfolded,” and they were able to find the suspect.
The unnamed suspect has been charged with Criminal Damage to Property.
