The only move the Milwaukee Brewers made at Monday’s trade deadline involved reliever David Phelps going to the Phillies.
The deal helps the Brewers bulk up a minor league system lacking prospects.
In his first year with Milwaukee, the 33-year-old Phelps has pitched to a 2-and-3 record with a 2.77 earned run average, allowing only seven hits and a pair of walks in 13 innings while striking out 20.
In return, Milwaukee gets 19-year-old right-handed pitchers Juan Geraldo, Israel Puello, and Brandon Ramey.
