Bail is set at $10,000 cash for a 25-year-old Two Rivers man facing child sex charges.
Court records show that Alec J. Gilbertson was taken into custody Thursday on suspicion of child enticement and possession of child pornography. Manitowoc Police took a report of a suspected adult male soliciting sexual images from a child.
It was determined that Gilbertson and the victim had been speaking and police confiscated his phone. A forensic examination of the device was performed which revealed the messages and nude images authorities were looking for.
Gilbertson was arrested at his Two Rivers residence without incident and booked into the County Jail.
Conditions of bail are that Gilbertson have “no contact” with the victim or any premises they occupy-have “no contact’ with anyone under the age of 18-not possess or use any internet enabled device and report to MPD for photos and prints upon release.
Gilbertson remains in the County Jail with his initial appearance scheduled for September 9th.
