A new prairie-style design apartment complex is about to be built on the former Elks Club Golf Course property in Manitowoc. According to developer Alex Allie of Park Regency Management, the Rivers Edge Apartments, will be constructed just north of the roundabout on Waldo Boulevard, overlooking Lake Michigan.
During an appearance on- “Welcome Home” with Brandon Bartow, Allie said they plan to break ground on the project within the new few weeks. Along with the development, the City of Manitowoc is putting in a new Trail System from the Lincoln Park Zoo to the Mariners Trail, going right past the apartment complex.
As part of the project, Allie said they will donate 11-acres of land in conservancy to the Manitowoc Parks Department.
The Rivers Edge development isn’t expected to be finished until late spring, 2021.
