Jobless numbers continue to decline in the City of Manitowoc and Manitowoc County as a whole.
Statistics released by the State Department of Workforce Development show the city’s unemployment rate in July was 7.6%, down from June’s number of 9.9% but well above July’s rate of 3.9% in 2019.
Meanwhile, 6.3% of the County’s job force was unemployed, which is down 2% from June’s rate of 8.3% and above July 2019’s number of 3.2%.
Preliminary July 2020 unemployment rates declined in all of Wisconsin’s 33 largest cities and 72 counties.
