The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) has given a total of 17 food banks and other non-profit organizations a total of approximately $5 million through the COVID-19 Food Security Network Support Grant.
Two area non-profits are on that list and will be getting a cut of that money.
Transformation House of Brown County will be getting $13,800, while the Friends of Women in Recovery, which covers 12 different County’s including Manitowoc, Sheboygan and Outagamie Counties, will receive $4,000.
This funding aims to help them adapt to the infrastructure challenges they’ve faced as a result of COVID-19.
