The former dance coach at Bay Port High School will not be doing any jail time after she stole money from the team.
33-year-old Brittany Rowel was in Brown County Circuit Court on Tuesday, where she was sentenced to three years of probation.
Rowell admitted to stealing money from the Bay Port Dance Squad, including nearly $3,000 from a carwash fundraiser.
Prior to being sentenced, Rowel told the court, “I truly believe that I am a different person than I was four years ago. I wish I had given myself the chances then that I have as of late.”
