Milwaukee Brewers players decided to boycott Wednesday’s game against Cincinnati.
That move came shortly after the N-B-A Milwaukee Bucks refused to take the court for their playoff game against Orlando.
The Brewers met in the afternoon and made the decision to boycott in response to the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha.
A second Major League Baseball game between Seattle and San Diego was also postponed.
As of this morning, the Brewers plan on holding a double-header against the Reds today to make up the missed game. Game one will begin at 4:10 PM, with the second game starting immediately after. These games will follow the 7-inning double-header format put in place for this season.
The Pittsburgh Pirates arrive in Milwaukee for a four-game series starting Friday.
