A Sturgeon Bay woman is in police custody following a stabbing incident early yesterday morning, which resulted in the death of a 32-year-old woman.
Reports indicate that the Sturgeon Bay Police Department were called and told about a stabbing in an apartment in the 1800 block of Florida Street, and were met by 52-year-old Susan Soukup in the front yard.
Her word to the police were brief and to the point. “I stabbed her,” she said as she directed the officers to the hallway to where the victim was located.
The victim was stabbed numerous times and had serious cuts to her neck. She died shortly thereafter at a local Hospital. Her name is not being released at this time.
Soukup is being held on a $1 million cash bond as the Wisconsin State Crime Lab helps the Sturgeon Bay police collect evidence.
