Manitowoc Lincoln High School alum’ Bill Buchholz has given a large donation of $22,000 to the school.
Buchholz, a 1963 LHS graduate and a member of the Shipbuilders State Basketball championship team, earned his undergrad and graduate degrees from UW-Madison in Financial Services.
Buchholz later taught at the UW-Business School, and to this day, requested by the UW Graduate School of Business to offer presentations.
Bill was also inducted into the Manitowoc Ships Wall of Fame last winter for his exploits on the field and court.
The MPSD formally approved the donation yesterday and Athletic Director Dave Steavpack said, “We are just amazed at this wonderful gift from Mr. Buchholz. He was so proud of his experience at LHS he wanted to give back to show his appreciation for what Manitowoc and Lincoln High School has meant to him.”
The $22,000 donation is being earmarked for use in phase-1 of Manitowoc Lincoln Ships branding throughout the school, especially in the JFK Fieldhouse area.
