A local man has taken it upon himself to set up a march to raise awareness of the 8 million children that go missing each year throughout the world.
Jay Meeks, who was an integral part in the formation of Lakeshore’s United Visionaries, is organizing the march, which will take place on Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.
The march will start at the YMCA on Maritime Drive and will end at Washington Park.
According to Meeks’ post regarding the march, 800,000 children go missing in the U.S. every year, which is roughly 22,000 kids per day, or 916 per hour.
This comes amidst the massive outcry online following the Jeffery Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell arrests.
