About 25 people gathered at the Manitowoc Post Office yesterday to rally in support of the USPS and its workers.
Ron Kossik of Manitowoc is with the group known as “Crusaders for Justicia”, and he told SeehaferNews.com that they are “An organization that advocates for exploited and vulnerable people.”
He went on to explain that they support the US Postal Service because, it’s an important resource “for all Americans, regardless of their means, by providing delivery services to everyone in the country.”
Kossik added, “We want everyone to recognize how important the Post Office is, how many vital services the prove, and that the Post Office is a huge source of good paying, middle class, American jobs that needs to be protected.”
The USPS is reportedly billions of dollars in debt and the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill last Saturday that would give them a $25 billion infusion.
U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has said the bill is “dead on arrival” with President Trump adding he’ll veto it should the bill reach his desk.
