The Sheboygan Water Utility is dealing with a huge loss in revenue this year.
According to reports, the Utility reported that they have seen a $500,000 dip compared to last year, mostly due to how the pandemic has affected area businesses and industries.
This drop in revenue has resulted in one change in plans, albeit a minor one. The city had planned on stripping and repainting around 400 fire hydrants this year, but instead will only be doing 200 throughout the city.
Despite the huge drop in the first half of the year, they expect the end of the year to end strong as businesses re-open and more people return to work.
