The Manitowoc County Mariners dropped a 10-6 decision to the Leydon Lions Saturday night in a Mid States Football League game played in Wheaton, Illinois.
Quarterback Marcos Alfaro completed 16 of 31 passes for 2-hundred-25 yards, a touchdown & 2 interceptions. Wide receiver Aunton Terry had 7-receptions for 116 yards & a 26-yard score.
Defensively, the Mariners were led by Robert Sallie’s 4-tackles and 2-forced fumbles while Artist Terry posted 6-tackles, 1 for a loss.
The Mariners (1-&-2) will play their first home game of the season at the Chiefs’ Field this Saturday evening at 5:00 PM when they’ll host the Marion County Indiana Crusaders.
