A Manitowoc man was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly struck a child.
According to the police report, on Monday, August 17th, the mother left her child with the 26-old-man, whose relationship with the child is not clear based on redactions in the report.
That man admitted to drinking that evening. The mother received a call from the child, who was crying and stated she had gotten an “owie”.
Through an investigation that occurred throughout the week, it was determined that the man had allegedly struck the child and left visible marks.
The man claimed to be too intoxicated and didn’t remember what exactly happened. He is now facing a single charge of Child Abuse.
