A fight between a Manitowoc man and woman has resulted in charges against the 36-year-old man.
According to police reports, they were called to the 700 block of South 18th Street at around 10:20 PM on Saturday for a family trouble complaint.
A witness to the incident told officers that the man had, seemingly unprovoked, slapped a female who was washing some dishes.
The witness said she tried to keep the man away from the woman, but he had grabbed her hair and threw her to the ground, hitting a chair in the prosses.
Officers noted that the man was heavily intoxicated when they arrived and arrested him on a charge of Simple Battery with a Domestic Violence Order.
