Green Bay Packer rookies had stars in their eyes as the team held its first practice of training camp in Lambeau Field Thursday.
Normally, that’s an event shared during Family Night, but the coronavirus pandemic has canceled that this season.
First-year players Jordan Love, A-J Dillion and Josiah Deguara say they are just trying to learn the playbook and absorb the knowledge a living legend like Aaron Rodgers can pass on.
Deguara says it’s just awesome to be in the huddle with the Future Hall of Famer, while Love says he sits back in the meeting room and listens to everything Rodgers has to say.
The Packers will work out two more times at Lambeau before the regular season.
