A 40-year-old male is in the Manitowoc County Jail where’s he’s being held on one count of First-Degree Intentional Homicide.
Manitowoc Police Deputy Chief Jason Freiboth says that Craig W. Holtz is also being held on a probation hold. Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Marshall Street about 8:30pm Thursday night for a complaint of a man being stabbed.
Upon arrival they located the victim collapsed outside a residence. Holtz had fled the scene to a north side residence where he showered and changed clothes then dropped off at another north side home and eventually taken into custody without incident. The victim identified as a 32-year-old Manitowoc man was rushed via ambulance to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. A police presence remains at the Marshall Street residence.
No Other information including the identity of the deceased is being released at this time as the investigation remains ongoing.
