Sheboygan County officials are considering a new health ordinance, and many citizens voiced their concerns over its wording.
Roughly 200 demonstrators met Sheboygan County Administrator Adam Payne at the County Courthouse Tuesday to voice their concerns regarding forced vaccinations, jail time, and business shutdowns.
Payne explained that the ordinance would actually limit the power of the Health Department and would allow for checks and balances with other departments. He also agreed with the group, admitting the wording of the ordinance is a bit scary.
The proposal is under review now and will undergo some changes before coming back to the board for a vote. That is expected to take about two months.
