The Green Bay Optimist Club has announced their 2020 honorees for the Respect the Law Award, and they are Police Chief Andrew Smith, and the Green Bay Police Department.
The Club pointed to the new challenges the department has had to deal with this year, both on a local and national level, and praised Chief Smith for his ability to lead his department through the rough waters.
The “Respect the Law Award” is given out annually to a leader or group who have contributed greatly to the law and education on public safety.
