Governor Tony Evers Official Portrait
On a night when Kamala Harris made history by becoming the first Black woman to accept her party’s nomination for vice president, Wisconsin’s governor gave everybody a folksy welcome.
Tony Evers spoke live from Milwaukee’s Wisconsin Center when he said, “Holy mackerel, folks. Let’s get to work.”
He was the only official to address the virtual convention from Milwaukee.
Former President Barack Obama ripped into President Donald Trump during his address, saying Trump has turned the presidency into “one more reality show that he can use to get the attention he craves.”
Speaking live from Philadelphia, Obama was more personal in his criticisms than he has been in the past. He accused Trump of never taking the job seriously.
Also, Kamala Harris was officially named Joe Biden’s Vice-Presidential running mate.
