Manitowoc Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect in an “armed robbery” this week.
Detective Mike Stone says that officers were dispatched about 2 p.m. Monday afternoon for a report of the crime that occurred in an apartment in the 1700 block of Cedar Grove Drive. Upon entering, the male suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and young child proceeding to flee with cash and property. No one was hurt.
The suspect is described as a black male approximately 18 to 25 years old about 5-feet-11 inches tall weighing about 165 to 170 pounds with a medium build and dark brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a pullover with a multi-colored hood pulled up and dark denim jeans.
Callers with information leading to an arrest could be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $500 or more by calling Crime Stoppers at 683-4466 where you may choose to remain anonymous. You may also provide information through the P3 app.
