Big Ten Conference officials could release a revised football schedule within a week or two.
They have reportedly been working on a plan to kick off the season in January.
The conference feels its important for players to finish the season before the 2021 N-F-L Draft starting April 29th.
It wouldn’t be a full, 12-game season – more like eight or nine games.
The Big Ten would apparently try to use indoor facilities like Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, U-S Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, or Ford Field in Detroit.
Coaches and athletic directors say they want to limit the number of games to ease the physical strain on players who would return to action in August.
