The intersection of North 18th Street and Waldo Boulevard is expected to be reopened sometime today to two-way traffic in the north/south directions. That’s according to Greg Minikel, Engineering Division Manager for the City of Manitowoc Department of Public Infrastructure.
Minikel explains that busy intersection which has been affected by reconstruction of Waldo will be under stop sign control, until the traffic signals are installed & become operational. He said the intersection of N. Rapids Road is nearing completion as well, perhaps as early as sometime next week.
The Engineering Division Manager also tells us the intersection of N. 23rd & Waldo will be closed starting Monday, and will remain off-limits to motorists for approximately two weeks.
