The Manitowoc County Board held a meeting last night to discuss the fate of Board Member Don Zimmer, who spoke at a recent City of Manitowoc Common Council meeting and called the Black Lives Matter organization a “criminal organization”.
After several hours of public testimony and debate, it was determined that the Board will not be taking any action against Zimmer.
At the meeting, Zimmer defended his word, by again pointing to the riots and looting that has been done throughout the country in the name of BLM.
Residents of the County both defended Zimmer, calling the attempt to pull him from the board “pushing a political agenda”, while others called for his resignation.
