The Memphis Grizzlies needed the game – the Milwaukee Bucks didn’t, and it showed on the court. Playing without suspended star Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks were whipped 119-106 Thursday afternoon.
The win means Memphis keeps its season alive.
Brook Lopez scored 19 points to lead Milwaukee scoring. Khris Middleton added 14, but fell just short of becoming only the eighth N-B-A player with a 50-40-90 season, or shooting 50 percent from the floor, 40 percent from 3-point range, and 90 percent from the foul line.
The Bucks meet Orlando in the first round of the N-B-A playoffs.
