The Wisconsin Department of Justice reports the suspect in last weekend’s shooting of a Kenosha police officer has been arrested in Gary, Indiana.
Jonathan T. Massey of Kenosha is charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide.
He was taken to an Indiana jail after getting treatment for a gunshot wound to the stomach, and is currently awaiting extradition to Wisconsin.
The officer, a two-year veteran of the Kenosha Police Department, is expected to recover.
