A proposal from On Broadway, Inc. in Green Bay to create a rotating community “insta-mural” has been selected to receive one of AARP Wisconsin’s “Small Dollar, Big Impact” grants.
These grants are being awarded monthly in 2020 to projects in communities across Wisconsin that are designed to improve communities and make them better places for everyone to live, work and play as they age.
Brian H. Johnson, Executive Director of On Broadway, Inc explained that an insta-mural is a “sign that has the capability for the messaging to be switched out monthly.”
Some examples of the messages include “If you can be anything in this world, be kind”; “Shop Local. Stay Positive”; “Tough times never last but strong people do”; and “The time is always right to do what is right.”
On Broadway will receive $1,000 from AARP to help make the idea a reality.
