The Wisconsin seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases has dropped off from its July peak and reached its lowest point in more than a month.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 478 positive test results Wednesday.
That dropped the seven-day average of new cases to 760 – the lowest level since July 13th. 4.8% of Wednesday’s 9,900 tests resulted in confirmed cases.
State health officials say the recent positivity rate may be lower than it should be due to delays in analyzing and manually confirming test results.
There is reportedly a backlog of negative tests.
