Wisconsin Democratic leaders like Governor Tony Evers and U-S Senator Tammy Baldwin will have prominent speaking roles in next week’s Democratic National Convention.
The four-day event beginning Monday, August 17th, has been reduced in scale to an almost all-virtual one by the coronavirus pandemic.
Congresswoman Gwen Moore will speak during the opening night Monday, and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett is scheduled to call the convention to order Tuesday.
Evers speaks Wednesday night and Baldwin will lead up to former Vice President Joe Biden’s acceptance speech Thursday.
