Wisconsin Athletic Director Barry Alvarez says the Big Ten Conference decision to call off fall sports leaves him with “a hollow feeling.”
The PAC-12 made the same decision a few hours later and the Big 12 and A-C-C are expected to be next.
Alvarez won’t count out the possibility of shifting football to the spring for six-to-eight games, but he’s deferring to head coach Paul Chryst.
Many Badger players have tweeted their frustration and anger and Alvarez says he can understand the players’ pain.
Discussion about the eligibility rules for players will start today (Wednesday).
