The Grant County Sheriff’s Office reports a 17-year-old swimmer from Livingston has died after diving into the Grant River Saturday.
Investigators say Lynn Zimmerman was with a group of about a dozen friends and family members who had been canoeing on the river.
They stopped at about 2:40 p-m to go swimming.
Witnesses say Zimmerman dove into the river, resurfaced briefly, then never came up again.
Emergency responders found his body on the bottom of the river, right below the location where he had gone in.
