One person is dead after an accident on Lake Michigan off Sheboygan’s Deland Park yesterday.
First responders arrived on the scene at around 11:30 AM and dove into the lake to begin looking for the kayaker in their last known location. They were unsuccessful in finding the unnamed victim.
The kayak drifted to shore shortly afterwards, but the occupant was not in it.
The victim was eventually located and life saving measures were taken before they were transported to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.
The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
No additional details have been released at this time, as the investigation is ongoing.
