The decision by four-star high school guard prospect Tyrese Hunter to play for Iowa State sends another standout basketball performer into the Cyclones program.
Hunter averaged 21 points, six-and-a-half rebounds and three-and-a-half assists-a-game as a junior at Racine St. Catherine’s last season.
The team was undefeated when the coronavirus pandemic stopped the season. Marquette was said to be among 24 teams that had offered Hunter a scholarship.

At least 14 players from Wisconsin have been part of the Iowa State program over the last 20 years.
