Following a successful WeatherTech International Challenge Concours d’Elegance event, Road America in Elkhart Lake has donated the proceeds from that event to a couple of charitable organizations in Sheboygan County.
$8,000 were raised for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sheboygan County and Fresh Meals on Wheels of Sheboygan County.
Road America’s President and General Manager, Mike Kertscher said in a news release, “We are very proud to give back to the local community and to help people in need. Car enthusiasts from around the world join with us in this endeavor, channeling their passion for cars into raising money for worthy charities and we appreciate everyone’s support.”
While each charity received $4,000, the Concours provided charitable funding from many sources besides the event itself.
Many generous participants sent in direct donations through the Road America website to support both charitable groups.
