School may have ended a couple of months ago, but the graduating class of Roncalli High School in Manitowoc will be honored this evening.
We spoke with the President of the Catholic High School John Stelzer, who explained that they will hold their Graduation Mass at 5:30 PM, followed by the Commencement exercises at 7:15 PM.
Due to obvious health concerns, the number of people in attendance will be limited. Stelzer said the only people in attendance will be the graduates and their immediate family. βWe will be following guidelines set up by the Green Bay Diocese,β he said. βThe are the same type of attendance procedures that are in place for our weekend prayer services, or our masses on the weekends.β
Stelzer also said they decided to wait so long to do the ceremony because they were hoping to bump their capacity to 50%, but that is not the case. Instead they will be at roughly 25% occupancy.
As far as what their plan is for the upcoming school year, that information will be released to the families of the students tomorrow and will become public on Monday.
