The Green Bay Police are reporting a spike in the number of car theft cases in the city.
According to their reports, 15 cars trucks and motorcycles have been stolen just in the month of July, and five of them happened this week.
No real pattern has been noticed by authorities, who say it is happening on the east and wests sides, sometimes the keys are in the car, and sometimes the door was left open.
In one case, a brick was thrown through a window, even though the keys were not in the vehicle.
Some of the vehicles have been recovered, but many times in much worse shape than when it was stolen.
The GBPD is advising citizens to bring their keys inside when they park their car and lock the doors.
